Mount K2, also known as "The Savage Mountain," is the world's second highest peak standing at 8,611m. It is located at the border of Pakistan and China, and is considered one of the most technically challenging mountains to summit. The most popular route to the summit is the Abruzzi Spur, which has been successfully climbed by many international expedition teams.

The route takes us up steep wind-packed snow, ascending 300 ft towards the summit ridge. From the summit, climbers can enjoy a 360-degree view of neighboring peaks including Mount Gasherbrums (I-VII), Masherbrum, Mustagh Tower and Chogolisa. The summit lies vertically 650m above Camp 4, between an elevation of 7,520m and 8,000m. The route is known for its avalanche-prone areas, so climbers must exercise extreme caution while traversing it.

K2 is a challenging climb, with the highest fatality rate among the world's five highest mountains. The expedition can be completed within eight weeks, from start to finish in Islamabad, or can take as long as ten weeks depending on weather conditions. After reaching the summit, climbers will cross over the 6,000m high Gondogoro Pass and descend to the picturesque green Hushe valley before reaching Skardu.

Our company has been running K2 expeditions in Pakistan for over 8 years, and we have established relationships with all necessary permit procedures, yak drivers, and hoteliers. We also have a team of highly experienced Sherpa climbers, high altitude guides, cooks, and porters from Nepal. Individual team members are welcome to join us for the K2 expedition in Pakistan.
